I've missed my dear Bernina! I never used it much when I had it readily available, but since Jake was born & we lost our craft/office room, it's been in the garage and I've wanted to use it soooo many times!! I have a whole shelf of things in my closet that need to be fixed or sewn. Can't wait to finally get to them! So here's what I made today during Jake's naptime & after bedtime. It was so quick and easy, once I figured out a few specifics in the beginning.

It's an AIO (all-in-one; waterproof, meaning no diaper-cover needed). I made a 3-layer microfiber soaker (blue, in 1st pic), and it's sandwiched between a PUL (polyurethane laminate) outer and a microfleece inner.The true test will be when I put it on Jake tomorrow. I'm so sad that he's sleeping because I want to see how it fits (and performs!) NOW! {I stayed up until 1:00 am finishing it, I was so excited! I'll be hurting tomorrow!} Keep you posted~*
P.S. I made this with the help of a wonderful WAHM who owns an online store on hyena cart called Kayla's Cloth Kits. I purchased a kit that included a complete pattern (all sizes) and enough fabric (& velcro/elastic) to complete 3-4 diapers. Optional soaker material was extra. I'm so happy with it!!!! And Kayla was so helpful! Can't wait to make more... I'm going to do one more for Jake and 2-3 more for the new baby. Then I'll experiment with other fabrics. And probably some regular fitteds (no PUL).

ETA (Edited to Add): I put Jake in his new diaper first thing this morning! It looks like it fits well and he seems comfy. That microfleece inner is SOOOO SOFT!!!! (P.S. This is a size large, he's 15 months & probably about 22+ pounds.)

Right on! Looks good, and I so glad you included that pic of the machine...very cool indeed. I've been happy with my bernina thanks for the tip on the brand.
